Full bathrooms

Everything comes out and the room is built back up from the substrate. Once the old suite and tiling have gone we sort whatever has been sitting behind them, then set the services out around how the room is actually going to get used.

  • Complete strip-out, taken off site
  • Supply and waste moved to suit the new layout
  • Boarding over the walls, tanking through the wet zone
  • Bath, shower, basin, WC, brassware and wastes
  • Tiling or panelling, plus whatever goes down on the floor
  • Downlights, extraction and a heated rail
  • Sealed, run, checked and cleaned before you get it back

Walk-in showers

Nine times in ten this starts with a bath that has not been used in years. Once it is gone the room reads much bigger, and in a bathroom of ordinary size the whole swap is days rather than weeks.

  • Bath lifted out and taken away
  • Waste and supply moved to suit the tray or former
  • Boarding and tanking behind everything meeting water
  • Slimline trays, linear drains, framed or frameless glass
  • Thermostatic valves, rainheads and hand sets
  • Rails and lower thresholds where getting in matters

Wet rooms

Take the tray out of the equation and the floor becomes the shower — tanked right through and graded to the outlet. Nothing to step over at all, which is why we suggest it first wherever getting about is the deciding factor.

  • Floor built up, tanked throughout and graded to fall
  • Recessed formers and slot drainage
  • Tanking taken up the walls as well as across the floor
  • Underfloor warmth where wanted
  • Anti-slip and oversized floor formats
  • Frameless fixed glass panels

En-suites & cloakrooms

Little rooms take the most working out. Which way the door swings, what headroom sits under a staircase, whether the soil stack is anywhere within reach — get those straight and a tight space still works every morning.

  • Layout planned round door swing and ceiling height
  • Quadrants and squares for genuinely tight corners
  • Wall-hung units so the floor carries on beneath
  • Shallow-projection pans and slimline basins
  • Cloakrooms and WCs under the stairs
  • Mechanical extraction where there is no window

Tiling, panelling & floors

This is what separates a room that looks fitted from one that looks designed. Lines struck off the centre, joints running true, and grout and sealant ordered to the tile rather than whatever was left over in the van.

  • Porcelain in oversized formats, metro and mosaic
  • Stacked verticals, herringbone and relief tile
  • Feature walls set out to land centrally
  • Lit recesses formed and trimmed square
  • Panelling where fewer days and less dust win
  • Floor tile, luxury vinyl and sheet vinyl

Single fittings

A good share of the calls we take are about one item, not the whole room. Something has given up, or it simply looks its age. We take the old one out, put the new one in, and nothing else in the room gets disturbed.

  • Baths and bath panels
  • Showers and thermostatic valves
  • Basins, vanity units and taps
  • Pans, cisterns and concealed frames
  • Traps and wastes that have started weeping
  • Heated rails and bathroom radiators

Things nobody thinks to ask about

A

Lighting & extraction

Downlights, lit mirrors, shaver points and fans wired while the room is open. One less trade for you to line up.

B

Warmth

Heated rails, radiators and underfloor matting fitted at first fix, while the boards are up and the runs are reachable.

C

Making good

The line where the old tiling stopped, the ceiling above it and the corners nobody enjoys — filled, skimmed and blended out.

D

Easier access

Level floors, trays with next to no upstand, and rails fixed into something that will genuinely hold a person’s weight.

E

Choosing it

Send a picture of a room you like and a ceiling figure, and we’ll tell you what the space will and won’t take.

F

Clearing away

All of it goes with us. No skip stood on the drive for a fortnight and no weekend trips to the tip in your own car.
